GONE ARE THE DAYS OF ONLY BEING ABLE TO USE LIGHTROOM presets WITH A PAID SUBSCRIPTION OR LICENSE!
Now you can purchase Lightroom mobile presets and install them on your phone with the FREE Lightroom mobile app!
ALL YOU NEED IS THIS:
- a phone or mobile device
- Lightroom CC mobile app (available in your app store)
- a computer (optional)
Important: you will be using DNG files to import onto your app, not XMP files used for other versions of Lightroom.
For easier installation, download your folder onto a computer, unzip folder, and email yourself a copy of the DNG files

UNZIP YOUR DOWNLOAD FOLDER
You will need to locate & access your DNG files (the presets) in your download folder. You can unzip the folder either on your phone with a separate app, or on a computer.
I prefer doing this on a computer desktop since phone apps can be finicky from time to time.
On your computer, right click on the folder and select “extract all” to unzip the folder.
PREPARE YOUR DNG FILES
If you have unzipped the folder from your computer, then email yourself each DNG file so you can download to your phone.
You will need to email them individually as the file sizes are large.
Once you have successfully downloaded the files onto your phone or mobile device, you are ready to proceed.
Attach each of the 5 DNG files individually and email to yourself.
OPEN LIGHTROOM MOBILE
If you haven’t already, download the free Lightroom mobile app onto your device.
ADD THE DNG FILES
Do this by adding them to your photo album within the mobile app. This may take a few minutes, so be patient while they transfer.
USE YOUR PRESETS
Click on any of your DNG files (will look like a photo) and open it in the editor. Click on the 3 dots in the upper right corner and select “copy settings”.
Go back to your album and choose a photo to edit & open it in the edit window. Click the 3 dots again and choose “paste settings”.
The settings from the DNG file (preset) should have transferred.
SAVE YOUR PRESETS
Now click the 3 dots again to select “create new preset.”
This will open a window to choose your settings to save. Select them all and name the preset it was already given. You can also create a new folder (preset group) to keep them organized in your app.
EX: If Nostalgia 3 was chosen, name your preset Nostalgia 3.
Repeat these steps until all of your presets have been used and saved inside your mobile app. Now you won’t have to copy & paste settings each time you use them!
Just open your preset panel on the bottom of your tool bar to view & use your saved presets.
Now you have your mobile presets installed and saved for future use.
